Ripple Effect Artists - Building the Wall

Fresh from it's sold-out Off-Broadway run, Ripple Effect's production of Building the Wall, by Tony-Award- and Pulitzer-Prize-Winning playwright Robert Schenkkan.

Directed by BST board member Brent Buell, this 2016 dystopian political thriller explores the extreme consequences of anti-immigration rhetoric and policies. Set in 2019, it follows a conversation between a former private prison warden, Rick, and Gloria, a professor, as he faces sentencing for atrocities committed in detention centers after a major terrorist attack leads to martial law. With this production, we will question just how dystopian this story could be and ask where we as a country are headed.
